When using Proactive how do you use the Refining Mask?

Do you place the Refining Mask on your skin after using the Renewing Cleanser-following up with the Revitalizing Toner and Repairing Lotion, Or do you do it separately? I'm confused. When using Proactive how do you use the Refining Mask?
Im having the same problem =[

I just want clear skin.. Gosh

WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE SO HARD??!!When using Proactive how do you use the Refining Mask?
I think it depends on how you're using it.

Seems that if you're going to use it all over your face, then it's better to do it separately.

But if you've just got a few big spots that you really want to hit hard, then use the cleanser, toner and lotion like normal and just put a small dab of the the mask on those problem spots. Doesn't take a whole lot. You don't have to cake it on.

They used to advise that you spread the mask all over your face, let it sit for about 10-15 minutes, and then wash it off with warm water.

But, honestly, I never thought that worked too well.

Unless you have very sensitive skin, you could try (as a full mask) leaving it on overnight. But don't do it every night. Maybe 1-2 times a week. Separate from the other Proactiv products.

If you're using it as a spot treatment, then just hit the problem areas with it every night (on top of the normal Proactiv routine) until they dry up. As a spot treatment, definitely leave it on overnight.

I don't do the routine any more, but I still use the mask for problem spots. It's good stuff.
The way to make the most effective use of the Proactive refining mask is by steaming your face first. This way all the excess goo inside your pores will be purged and they will be open so the mask can penetrate deeper.

The ten minute rule (or until dry) works for this mask also.

When you're finished, wash off the mask and close your pores by rubbing an ice cube over them for about ten minutes.

The steaming method works with other masks too, although anything clay based is usually best for acne/oily skin.
